PROCEDURE IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM

You can quickly and easily find all the necessary information on what to do in the event of a claim here.

1. BEST-PRICE GUARANTEE

The best-price guarantee reimburses you for the difference between the price originally paid incl. VAT and the price for an identical item offered within 14 days at a lower price. The identical item offered at a lower price must be of the same brand, model, name and/or number and must have been offered by a commercial supplier registered in Switzerland (shop, mail order company, internet-based supplier or website, department store). The minimum difference must be CHF 30. The minimum value of the item
must be CHF 50.

PROCEDURE IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM

1. Report the claim online here

2. The following documents are required to enter the claim notification:

  • Original or copy of the purchase receipt
  • Original or copy of the credit card statement showing that at least 80% of the purchase price was paid using the card
  • Proof (e.g. brochure) including the identical purchased item and date of sale and/or issue as well as the lower price
  • Proof of insurance coverage (credit card statement showing the premium deduction)

 

2. Purchase insurance

Purchase insurance includes protection against theft, burglary, robbery, destruction and damage for new items for a period of 30 days as of the date of purchase. The insurance reimburses the costs of repair or replacement of the insured item. The minimum value of the item must be CHF 50.

PROCEDURE IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM

2. The following documents are required to enter the claim notification:

  • Original or copy of the purchase receipt
  • Original or copy of the credit card statement showing that at least 80% of the purchase price was paid using the card
  • A police report in the event of theft, burglary or robbery
  • Contact details of the company/person that discovered the defect on the item
  • Proof of insurance coverage (credit card statement showing the premium deduction)

 

3. WARRANTY EXTENSION

With warranty extension coverage you benefit from a two-year extension of the warranty as of the end of the manufacturer’s warranty. The insurance will reimburse the costs incurred to repair or replace items in the event of damage that would have been covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Compensation after expiry of the manufacturer’s warranty is 90% of the original purchase price in the first year and 80% in the second year. The minimum value of the item must be CHF 50.

2. The following documents are required to enter the claim notification:

  • Original or copy of the purchase receipt
  • Original or copy of the credit card statement showing that at least 80% of the purchase price was paid using the card
  • Original or copy of the manufacturer's warranty
  • Contact details of the company/person that detcted the defect on the device and may carry out the repair as a certified repair point of the respective manufacturer, including a repair cost estimate
  • Any other relevant documents that are required
  • Proof of insurance coverage (credit card statement showing the premium deduction)

 

4. Safe online

Safe online insurance provides cover for items purchased online that do not correspond to the ordered merchandise or which are defective or incomplete or which are not delivered within 30 days of the payment date, despite a reminder having been issued and without a reason being provided. The insurance reimburses the costs of the return shipment or the purchase price if the seller does not agree to a return shipment or the goods are not delivered. The minimum value of the item must be CHF 50.

PROCEDURE IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM

2. The following documents are required to enter the claim notification:

  • Original or copy of the credit card statement showing that at least 80% of the purchase price was paid using the card
  • Original or copy of the order confirmation and purchase receipt
  • In case of non-delivery within 30 days: a signed declaration by the insured person that the item ordered was not delivered and a copy of the letter sent to the supplier as a reminder, together with the supplier's comments in writing or in some other form capable of serving as textual evidence
  • Delivery note and any return document, indicating the delivery costs
  • Proof of insurance cover (credit card statement showing the premium deduction)
